My name is Helen Paradise, aka the Crazy Dachshund Lady! I am passionate about preserving this breed, and my primary reason for breeding is to produce my next show dog. I am town licensed, and inspected (Uxbridge, MA). I do have several co-owners and together we breed smooth or long hair dachshunds in red or b/t only.

It is always my intent to bring to the future a better dog, to improve on what I have, and to conduct myself with the utmost in ethical behavior in all things. The written breed standard as well as the breed purpose is the guideline I use in planning any litter.

Companion puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract with lifetime support.  See my policies for steps to getting a puppy. This includes an application, wait list  and pick up details. Breeding is not for the faint of heart, and careful study of the breed and dogs from the past will help to know what bloodlines to avoid and which dogs will pass down their virtues as I strive to continue to improve health, temperament and overall structure.

 

Paradise Dachshunds have won many awards, including Best of Opposite Sex at the 2022 Westminster Kennel Club show. I am a member of the Dachshund Club Of America, the New England Hound Association, and Treasurer of the Connecticut Yankee Dachshund Club. Paradise Dachshunds has produced 41 AKC Champions to date and I am a mentor to many newcomers who go on to show and eventually breed these amazing dogs. Puppies, and retiring adults available on occasion to well screened homes.

When looking for your next family dog, please know that we do not mass breed to produce puppies for profit or have year round availability.
